Editorial Photography with the Philadelphia Convention and Visitor’s Bureau

This past summer Scott Spitzer Photography was contacted by Munroe Creative Partners, a local marketing and communications firm. Munroe was bidding on a large photography contract with the Philadelphia Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (PHLCVB) and wanted us to be a part of their proposal. Munroe chose Scott Spitzer Photography because of our reputation for excellence and our ability to assemble a talented and creative team. The project entailed photographing specific venues in Philadelphia over a course of twelve days and we gladly accepted the challenge!

Scouting and shooting commenced in early September at locations such as 30th Street Station, City Hall, Spruce Street Harbor, the Pennsylvania Convention Center, local hospitals and universities as well as lifestyle scenes with models at the Logan Hotel, Rittenhouse Square and the 13th Street dining corridor. Each production day consisted of a photographer, assistant, two members of the Munroe team and two members of the PHLCVB team working together to create the desired look. It was a logistical challenge dealing with permits, parking, equipment set-up and break-down and of course little unplanned hiccups that arise unknowingly- but we met these head on with success.

This was one of our largest projects to date, with weeks of scheduling and scouting. We are so proud that the Scott Spitzer Photography team came together to deliver a phenomenal product which will be used for years to come around the Philadelphia area!
