Scott Spitzer Photography recently photographed a panel discussion at the University of Pennsylvania featuring former Harvard President, Lawrence Summers. Summers was also a former Secretary of the Treasury and Chief Economist of the World Bank. Attended by Penn students, the discussion took place in Penn’s famed Houston Hall; America’s first college union building dating back to 1894. One challenge that comes with photographing a static event such as a panel discussion is how to make all of the photos visually interesting. Multiple camera angles and lens choices are key, as well as attempting to capture engaging expressions of the attendees and panelists.
