We love photographing on college campuses. Scott Spitzer Photography has provided over ten years of coverage for University of Pennsylvania‘s Alumni Weekend! With a team of often two to three photographers we run from event to event throughout the weekend. The schedule is extensive— early morning fun runs, panel discussions, architecture tours, picnics, happy hours, reunion parties, and the parade of classes.
Each photographer has assigned roles throughout the weekend. Often one photographer shadows the Penn President as she greets guests and meets with prominent alumni. One of the more exciting moments is the reviewing stand at the end of the Parade of Classes. There, each alumni class passes in front of the President while the master of ceremonies announces several fun facts about the class.
The University of Pennsylvania is a historic ivy league Philadelphia institution with many iconic buildings that provide a picturesque backdrop. The campus is known for the Fisher Fine Arts Library, Houston Hall, College Hall, Franklin Field and Locust Walk. We are amazed at the striking architecture regardless of where the camera is pointed.
Quality photography plays an important role in capturing the essence of any university alumni weekend. It not only provides a means to relive the moments but also serves as a powerful tool for promoting the university. It also attracts prospective students and engages with the community.
The Penn alumni network is diverse and vibrant and we are so honored to continue providing alumni weekend photography.
