2024 Year in Photos: A Philadelphia Photographer’s Journey

As 2025 gets underway, I’m thrilled to look back on an amazing 2024 of corporate event photography, packed with vibrant moments, and over 100 assignments. From professional headshots and lively conferences to elegant galas and community events, this year has been a whirlwind journey.

A Strong Team Effort

I had the privilege of working with an awesome team of talented associate photographers who brought creativity to every shoot. We also teamed up with some fantastic video partners to add more storytelling capability. We engaged with TapSnap yet again, to bring fun, interactive photo booth experiences to events. Together, we made sure every client’s vision came to life. Scott Spitzer Photography, founded in 2002, has been dedicated to showcasing moments and telling stories through exceptional imagery. Whether it was headshots, galas, or multi-day conferences, our Philadelphia corporate event photographers captured every special detail.

Highlights from an Incredible Year in Corporate Event Photography

2024 was full of projects that really showed off the diversity of our work. Here are some standout moments:

Headshots: We love helping professionals put their best face forward, doing headshots for organizations like ABCT, Colorcon, Criterion, Estée Lauder, Global Genes, Hologic, Informa, and multiple Penn Medicine departments. These sessions gave individuals polished, professional images they could be proud of.

Multi-Day Shows: Conferences were a huge part of the year, giving us the chance to capture leadership, learning, and networking. Some highlights include:

• Documenting a fascinating three-day Biophysical Society Annual Meeting, that included lectures, workshops, networking, and trade show interactions for thousands of international attendees.
• Covering three full days of the Global Genes Week in Rare in Kansas City, featuring keynotes, workshops, and networking sessions.
• The Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, a three-day event at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, with actor and environmental activist Don Cheadle.
• The Galien Foundation Forum and Awards Ceremony, a full-day forum in New York City at the Alexandria Center followed by an evening gala at the American Museum of Natural History; managing a team of 10 photographers to deliver near real-time images.

We also covered tech-forward events like the HFS Research Summit, discussing AI trends, and the Car Connectivity Consortium, exploring the future of automotive tech.

This year’s client list was incredible, with organizations trusting us to tell their stories. From Penn’s annual Neuroscience Symposium to their Alumni Weekend, we worked with names like Amazon Fresh, Wegmans and the George W. Bush Presidential Center. Every project brought its own unique vibe—whether it was gearing up in a clean suit for Hologic’s lab photography or capturing the high energy of Uber events on college campuses. Brand activations and product launches were also a big part of our year, featuring repeat clients showcasing Philadelphia small businesses.

Memorable Moments in Event Photography

One of the most unforgettable parts of 2024 was working with the Galien Foundation for the fifth year in a row, managing 10 photographers to cover their 600 person gala at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Scott Spitzer Photography often seamlessly deploys teams of photographers to capture all aspects of large scale events.

We also supported some cherished traditions, like photographing the Daughters of the American Revolution Annual Debutante Ball and the Living Beyond Breast Cancer Gala.

Looking Ahead in Corporate Photography

As I think back on 2024, I feel grateful for the repeat clients, new clients, and collaborators who made this year special. The variety of events we covered really shows that a picture is worth 1,000 words and there is no replacement for capturing milestones. I’m looking forward to 2025, growing with my team, learning, and being inspired by all of the incredible people we photograph along the way.
