Philadelphia Event Photography 2021: Back to Business

I think we can all agree that 2020 wasn’t what we expected it to be. However, Philadelphia event photography picked up again in 2021 and the team at Scott Spitzer Photography had an incredible year. We really look forward to what 2022 will bring!

Back in the office, and on the runway

As the pandemic wore on, 2021 got off to a slow start. But soon enough we were back where we belong – behind the camera! In the spring our team had the opportunity to engage with repeat clients such as Fox Chase Cancer Center, Bayhealth Medical Center and Penn Medicine’s Department of Radiology, as well as new clients. We were proud to partner with NSM Insurance, capturing candid office photos and a fun happy hour event in the parking lot. The Borgata brought Scott Spitzer Photography to the Atlantic City Airport where we covered a water canon salute for the launch of an MGM Direct to Borgata Air Service, complete with police escort.

Full speed ahead

Although the pandemic put the brakes on events for many of our clients, we enjoyed being part of their creative response to promote brand engagement. Porsche was a great example of this with XD Agency‘s Porsche Rush College Tour at the Wells Fargo Center! To support Porsche as they targeted a new demographic, we photographed college students participating in timed relays and performance driving.

Expanding our reach

Scott Spitzer Photography heads to New York City… In 2019, we shot the Galien Foundation‘s forum at the Alexandria Center and gala at the American Museum of Natural History. The event was a whirlwind with complicated logistics and deliverables that put our team’s skills to the test. In 2021, Galien invited us back to New York and challenged us even more with requiring a team of nine photographers all working collaboratively to deliver a high quality product. We utilized our network of tri-state photographers and delivered! Our team was thrilled to document such an important event honoring scientific innovation, especially at a time in history when medical advancement is so vital. One of the most significant moments was photographing on stage, all at once, the CEOs of Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and AstraZeneca speaking to their efforts during the pandemic.

Rebuilding community

For our team, one of the hardest parts of the pandemic has been the lack of opportunity to engage in our larger community. We are proud of the work our clients do and excited to help showcase their businesses in the best light. We were thrilled when Skyrocket Education at Northwood Academy Charter School partnered with Scott Spitzer Photography to capture action shots of training sessions and headshots of staff.

Ketchum PR and Wells Fargo engaged Scott Spitzer Photography to photograph Wells Fargo’s Hope, USA in West Philadelphia. The event was a “nationwide initiative investing in beautifying business districts in more than a dozen cities across the country [during the] holiday season.” The 52nd Street corridor is a culturally vibrant neighborhood that benefitted enormously from a much needed refresh. Wells Fargo employees and local contractors descended on the neighborhood and collaborated with the community to help with renovations. Scott Spitzer Photography was on site for 3 full days during the project to capture “before, during, and after” images. We were thrilled with the results both for our client and the community!

That’s a wrap!

2021 came to a close with several holiday parties and award ceremonies for the American Institute of Architects, HMP Communications, and the PRSA Pepperpot Awards. Despite the uncertainty of the pandemic, it was a great year for Scott Spitzer Photography.
